Default Console door lock switch

My door lock/unlock switch on the console does not work and I am trying to make it work. I never use it much but I would still like it to work when I need it.
Ala_xfire told me that it had two resistors inside that when pressing the top or bottom of the switch determined if it locked or unlocked the doors etc. by routing the current through one or the other resistor.
I have three of these switches and they all give approximately the same resistance, 1.6 and 200 Ohms. The ground is good and the switch does not work using either of two BCMs so the problem lies beyond the BCM. I do not want to dig out the CLP/SSM which works fine otherwise as it is too much work to get to it, so I am stuck.
The switch is part of the three switch unit that contains the emergency flasher. The resistance is measured between terminals four and eight.
Any one got any other ideas?

Have you unplugged the pneumatic line to see if there is air flow to the lock? Mine came unhooked one time when I swapped my cup holder. Just a thought.

You have a convertible with a line to the console lock, there is no pneumatic line near my coupes console.
My problem is an electrical one, if I ever get to see the SSM/CLP in the trunk again I will investigate it further.
I guess if I looked for the wire under the trunk mat before it goes it down by the foam covering the pump I could go one step further and see if a signal showed there.
