Default 2005 Top

My wife noticed tonight that the top seems to be coming undone on the rear passenger side. I would appreciate any information. It has been raining quite a bit, but, the car is stored in a garage (except, when my wife is working).

Thanks,
- Brian

Time for a new top, that seam separation is impossible to fix unless you are a professional and even then the top has to come off.
See what kinda deal you can get from BAS tops ( www.car-hood.co.uk )

I just ordered a new top this morning, Contact Rebecca Treherne <rebecca.web.bas@gmail.com> for the group buy offer. Pretty good discount.

I am the proud "first to order" in this group buy. For some reason, this buy has never stopped, it's been going on since June. We needed ten to get the discount, we must be up to over 20, maybe more than 25 now.

It may morphe into a continuous group buy.

Well, at least there’s a good group discount. I have to ask, how much am I looking at with the discount? Is installation something that has to be done professionally? 🤦

Thanks,
- Brian

Hey George, I see that you used to install the new tops for newbs (like me)... Any chance that you, or someone else in the SE US still do? I plan on contacting BAS tomorrow to get a new black top!

Thanks,
- Brian

Yea, that was back when I wasn't half blind. I'd like to help you, but seriously I no longer have the stamina to be on my feet long enough,
Pizzaguy, do you know anyone that does tops near Knoxville ?

Hey George, I’m sorry to hear that your health has deteriorated. As for the top, any installation recommendations would be appreciated. We were also having intermittent issues where it would get stuck. I’m glad to help assess problems and fix/install the issue. We just had to buy some new tires, so, our budget is a little light at the moment,

Thanks,
- Brian

Well, maybe Richard Paczan when he's in GA and not CA. I think Zach in Dalton, GA has helped Richard in the past.

Both are on Facebook more than on here, tho.

Has anyone heard from Richard or Zack, lately? I have some money to replace my top, but, I don’t necessarily trust the couple of places in Knoxville to help me. I tried Facebook, with no response.

Go to your local top people and play this YouTube description for them; watch their reaction to the video, and decide whether you can trust them.

Good luck!

Do you know what his login name is here? I’m just trying to get the top replaced before we have to spend it on something else, hehe.

I took a break over the winter with trying to replace my top & fix leaks.

I did have the car serviced a couple of months ago and they refilled the fluid, but, it still won’t open without manual help. I never got a response to the friend request that I sent to Richard Paczan on FB. We’re planning a trip to Eureka Springs next month, if anyone along the route from Knoxville to there would have some time to look at it and possibly help to replace the top and help with the fluid leak. I can also make plans to drive to Georgia, if I can get some help there.

Thanks!

Yes, I must have a fluid leak. Now that spring is almost here, is there anyone not too far from East Tennessee that could help repair the leaks & also help to install a new top? I’ll pay for the parts, help do the work & pay some for the help. It’s a bonus if you can reset TPMS... 🙂
