Dave, how about a document that references tips for putting our cars into winter hibernation. There were alot of good ideas when I first asked. I found it really useful. Little things like putting a styrofoam block under the wiper arms to keep the blades off the windshield. It couldn't hurt and I will always do that. I'll work on a checklist if one doesn't already exist, based on searching the posts.

I really would like to see a video or photo how to that shows how the average guy can put the car up safely onto 4 jackstands.

 

I'll get Norman Jewison to do one for us, he is pretty good with films. He's worked with Jack Nicholson I think, maybe he can work with Jack Stands.

Had this happen to me. I was able to reach through the bulkhead behind the drivers seat and grab the trunk release handle. Walla! It opened. Later I realized that the trunk lid locks automatically unless the car is turned off and the car is in park. Then if it is locked, you can just hit the door unlock button twice.

Has anyone out there trued to install lowering springs? I am moderately mechanical but don't want to pay the $400 that a couple of mechanics quoted me.

 

My 2005 SRT-6 convertible sits a little higher than I like so I bought a set of B & G lowering springs. I can't find anyone in the Dallas Fort Worth area that wants to install for less than $400.00. Has anyone installed these? I would think that this would be a popular mod since you can get these on eBay for $265/set of 4.
