Lazy guy's part numbers needed

I make numerous notes on Post-Its and every time I go to look for a particular one or one's, it's not there. 'There' being very relative.

'07 Coupe Ltd: I'm looking for part numbers for the good stuff, not the least expensive - unless the least expensive is the best. Also if there is a particularly good source, I would also appreciate this info.

Oil filters --
Air filters--
Engine air cleaners --
Best spark plugs (I'm partial to NGK's) at what mileage is best to change them? --
Fuel filter and where located? --
What am I missing? --

Biba

I just went to NGK's website and for an '07 Ltd. XF rather than PFR5-11 - gap .039 in the owner's manual they list PFR5R-11 - gap .044. Comments?

You don't really need part numbers for these kind of items, they are maintenance items and are easily available.

(I WILL give you numbers on the oil filters, as if you are not careful, they will sell you a paper filter!)

Oil filters -you want a FLEECE filter not paper filter - NAPA 7080 (OOPS 7078) or Purolator L25277

Air Filters - I just bought what AutoZone had in stock - ONE store in the area (North of Atlanta) had them. K&N makes them too.

The fuel filter and pressure regulator is one unit, it's under the car. Go to Autohausaz.com, they have OEM parts for around $35.

I am about to do plugs and plug wires, I have 99900 miles and had planned to take care of this at 100,000 miles.

You can also cruise Needswings.com for HIGH quality parts, too.

If you are not careful pizzaguy will give you a wrong number, find out which number is wrong.
You could use search and find the parts, but you are lazy so I will not bother anymore. Maybe I am lazier than you.:p

YUP NAPA 7078 - I bought ONE, it had a Mann Fleece filter in it, same as the L25277 but $6 higher cost.
At first, when I moved here, I thought it was my only option.

OH, DAMN - TYPO!

A bit of surprise since all of the pictures of the gold filters were gold. Also, what goes into the extra 2" or so in the oil filter rig? These are 4 1/2" long.

We have China on the left and Poland on the right. Apparently 'they' get to wing it as far as the design of the filter. The Polish one looks more pro. There were no springs inside so I assume it is recycle the existing ones?

I just used up my empty gallon solvent cans when 'downloading' six plus gallons of 19 year old gas. And 'they' complain about the crayon smell.

The one on the left looks like an original Mann filter.
CHINA? After seeing THIS, I won't ever buy a NAPA filter again. The Purolator I mentioned above IS a repacked Mann filter from Germany.

Springs? Do you mean o-rings? The filters come with a set of o-rings, there will be one left over that you don't use.
Yank the old filter off, slide the new one on all the way, and replace ALL o-rings with those that BETTER be in the box with the filter.

There will be a BIG o-ring for the threads at the top (Make sure you place it correctly or it will leak) then three smaller ones on the arm of the filter assembly.
