So, You Want to Build an Electric Crossfire
So, You Want to Build an Electric Crossfire
I put together a 20 minute film on my Crossfire project for family and friends and was asked to post it. I tried several times, but kept getting an error message. So I got the suggestion to post it on You Tube. That was a new experience for me and for some reason it starts a minute or so into the film, but you can back it up to the beginning. Here's the link:

Thanks for the kind words. The car handles VERY well. There is less weight up front and more over the rear wheels. It corners great. It's quick in first gear and I usually drive it in 2nd or third. I've had it up to 60 mph, but most of my driving is in town at speeds that don't exceed 45 mph. I'm working on determining range and am up to 58 miles so far but it's looking good to top 70 miles per charge.

Well, I do admire your tenacity and accomplishment. This could be bigger than Rudy's V8 conversions (I mean, bigger in so far as way more units ,may be sold, as EVs are the 'thing' now).
As for me, I'll stick with my petro-powered sports car! Were I to mod the car in such a way, it would be to have a V8 in it. The advent of the use of petroleum has advanced our civilization and standard of living unlike anything else in human history - I'm not turning my back on it!

I spent some time with bob and his electric crossfire a few days ago, this car is amazing the workmanship is outstanding, from the outside with the hood and trunk closed Bob's car looks stock. If only we knew the amount of work put into this car to make it look and do the things it does example: the electric motor drives the stock manual transmission ,stock driveshaft and stock rear end, I was blown away with Bob and his ELECTRIC Crossfire. jim
great job bob:
