Default Jackpoint Jack Stand Question

Does anybody on the Forum use Jackpoint jack stands? If so, do you use the standard jack plate or the block plate for our Crossfires?

Jackpoint with standard pad

Block pad

These are really slick!! Never knew about this design.

If I were using this jack stand, I'd use the block plate for the Crossfire. Or use a standard plate & use the block pads I already have for my existing floor jack.

Thanks for sharing!!

hat type of jack stand would damage the plastic pads attached to the Crossfire, since it would rest on the screw point of the plastic pads. With our jack pads, you need a flat metal, heavy plastic or wood that would be a minimum of 4" square to distribute the weight. With this type of jack stand, it would destroy the pads....
Just my 2 cents....

Jackpoint with standard pad

Block pad
I just got confirmation from the manufacturer that the block pad option fits our Crossfires, along with Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Mini Coopers that use the plastic jacking point blocks.

At a list price cost of $300 each, with a height of just 12” I wonder if they are worth the money. If you wanted to lift the whole car using four jacks my money would go on the floor lift shown by Turbomar the other day which sold for less.

Another site is more specific, $300/pair.

Well that is no where near what Turbomar paid for his set up.

Even I can do the math there, as you must realize I originally was led to believe they were $300 each.
But 2 x $300 = US$600 = Ca$800 to lift four wheels of the ground, seems a bit pricey for what they are, I know what I would want to buy.0

A ramp is better way to go, they have many designs for the whole car. Safer too. My lift has 4" sq rubber pads on it and that is way safer. 4 jacks more dangerous than 1 !! Woody
