Oh, but I have!! My father was from Stoke-on-Trent and I have worked in the UK extensively over the last 25 years. Some of the biggest adrenaline rushes I've ever had were from driving at night between pubs on the backroads of Kent. It took me some time to understand that the term "verge", (our "shoulder") was purely theoretical!

And no, I do not miss Folkstone. I built the enormous x-ray generators that scanned 1 of 10 articulated lorries before they entered the shuttles on the Eurotunnel project.
