Spoiler light + roof problems on roadster
 

Hi there, I have a 2006 Crossfire roadster which we have owned for 3 and a half years (with absolutly no faults at all) and have recently put up for sale and has now develloped a fault! Typical...

The problem is that the spoiler light is flashing and therefore it wont let the roof go down. When the first part of the roof hatch is opened, it doesnt do anything at all (i.e doesnt lower the windows) and no beep.

Funnily enough, the spoiler works exactly as it should by going up and down at the correct speed but again cannot be controlled manually.

I tried disconecting the battery for 5 mins to allow it to reset and this cured the problem and everything worked as normal! This is only a temport fix however as it started again a few days later.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have searched the forum to see all sorts of battery faults - its is an original battery and is almost 5 years old now with 50000 miles on the clock.

Also, are there any specialist garages in the south instead of a dealer? The local dealers seem particularly unhelpful!!!
