Default UK meets

Are there any meets here in the UK for 2012?

I see there was one at Chatsworth this year, will there be another there?

Thanks Ken - seasons greetings to all!

Yes there is a full programme of meets for 2012 - just currently topping and tailing some final plans and waiting for confirmation from some of the new venues. There will be a variety of one day meets, some with the option to make it two days. As always, the meets will be spread North, South, East and West and we hope to see numbers continuing to increase this year!

As our Ken says, the full 2012 itinerary will be up on the UK Crossfires web site. It will also be emailed out to all our members in our next newsletter out shortly. To get on the mailing list just email us via the site, requesting to be added. Please include your name.

Here's looking towards another great Crossfire filled fun year!

Happy New Year!

Hi burg1989

I think the record stands at 14 crossfires at one of the meets. (Steve is that correct?) Yes, all welcome, just turn up. Look forward to seeing you

I'm in a similar boat bud, not had my xf for to long and after a few early teething problems which I have rectified (with advise off many here) I am now starting to really enjoy the motor, I'm 32 so only got 10 years on you & I to have a lot to learn about the cars (well cars in general as I'm not in any shape mechanically minded)
So I will get a long to a meet or 2 and have a chat with you fellow xf owners.

Jon,
We have had 17 on two occasions in 2011, and the target for 2012 is to reach 20 which should be easy given all the interest currently being shown and our membership now more than 140 owners.

On these meets do you guys go alone or do you take your wife's/girlfriends with you??
When I have been to meets with other car clubs in the past it has been wife's and girlfriends involved too.

Also a weekend away/get together either camping or hotel would be good. Is this something that is done??
We have had some good weekends away with other car clubs.

The meet locations are very varied and we hope to provide a great day out for everyone. Many bring their partners and some don't, and we have several lady owners too. One thing is for sure; everyone receives a very warm welcome and can be assured of a great day out. At various meets we will making a weekend of it, and check out our 4 day Laon trip. Check our website, and our list of meets, and we hope to see you there!

Well Donnington Park is only 1.5Hrs from York - just out of interest, how close to your home do you need the meets to be before you would go to one? Sorry but it does tickle me when folks say this, as many Crossfire fans drive hundereds of miles to get to a meet and often make a weekend of it. I reckon I did 2000 miles last year just going to meets, and enjoyed every mile. You don't know what your missing
