Default Engine management!!!

Ahrrrrr I have only just bought my first xf roadster last week. Just taken it for a blast and the engine management light has now come on! Do I take it back to the dealer 120miles away or find someone local, (Mildenhall, suffolk), to plug it in?

Personaly I would take it back to the dealer, but if they do not have a Chrysler code reader they wont be able to do much. Merc dealers can read many of the codes but there are a few unique to Chrysler.

If you have a Chrysler dealer nearby, take it in for a diagnostic then get the selling dealer to sort out any problems.

In saying that, I had the light come on, on the wifes Crossfire, had it reset at a Merc dealer(£18+vat) never came back on.

good luck.
