Heated seats

I know its summer, but hoping to get this sorted over the next few months before the autumn. Drivers seat heater only works on the base. Local chrysler dealer wants to sell me a new seat at £1200. Is this repairable or economically replaceable
Thanks

Re: Heated seats

It is repairable for about $30 US with a pair of seat heating pads from eBay:

Re: Heated seats

You might not even need to buy the pads. I have the same problem on passenger side and been told its usually just a wire that needs re-soldering. I havent got round to checking mine yet but Ill let you know if I ever get round to it

Re: Heated seats

If u have soldering skills and the tools, the seat can be repaired at no cost plus your time. No parts required, just repair the broken joints. I have seen as many as 6 breaks in the butt cushion alone

That's what I thought. I have 'some skills' but could do with a YouTube video, pdf pictogram, or walk through before I tackle the job!
