On my truck that I don't drive much had problems with the cat, it was plugged up, used a cutoff wheel and cut a square out of the bottom and broke loose and pulled out then they plate I cut out, just set back in place and weld up, nice and easy.

no O2 sensors behind the rear cats so shouldn't throw a code.
