Default Thanks for letting me join. My 1st Crossfire.

I have had my 1st Crossfire since August now. Cost me a fortune so far and it doesn't seem it's going to stop yet! :-)

When I bought the car it was cheap, however I was not prepared for how badly it had been looked after.

So far both rear wheel arches have had new metal welded in and both sides of the car front to rear including the bumper have been repainted at just on £2K. I have serviced the car my self replacing all filters (incl pollen filter) oil change, pads front and rear, light bulb holders either replaced or repaired, removed silly Fandango LED number plate light causing the bulb failure light to come on, secured the complete dash which was loose everywhere, replaced all of the centre console that some **** had sprayed black and it was awful, repaired power steering leak that was a loose pipe, secured all of the pipes correctly and covered the metal pipes with Waxoil, Where pipes may rub fitted Armaguard to prevent it damaging the rubber pipes, all four wheels powder coated black flake (which is metallic), replaced the heater controller whilst changing the coolant as it was on hot all the time, and it goes in to have a full stainless Exhaust in November. After that it probably owes me about £4K with buying it. But I love it as does my wife.
Here's a pickie taken today.

Manlaw38, I’m curious, do you have a key problem?

Yes Westy.
I lost the transponder out of my Chinese fob I bought it did not snap shut properly they must be glued with epoxy I used contact cement and it fell off my truck tailgate and broke open at night on a black road . Also beware of the Skreem system if you loose or damage these keys or the Skreem fails you will own a great looking paper weight lawn ornament. Some get angry at me because I have commented on this subject and some members can be right down nasty they pick and choose who they bully. Its like teen boys ganging up on one. Its not right but it happens. Anyway I wanted to warn you. But most here on forum are very nice and helpful. I have learned alot. Please protect your keys esp since they can not be replaced at the moment also no Skreem modules are available they say perhaps by 2020 but I doubt it. These subjects are well documented on this forum. I wish you all the best with your new toy Westy
Cheers
