Default Los Angeles, Orange County Owners

We should get together cruise Pacific Coast HWY. I get at least one compliment a day on how nice the xfire is. I think a group would really make heads turn.

I'm in South Orange County...for me to just get to Malibu and back would be roughly a hundred mile round trip, plus the PCH cruise you're talking about. Sounds like a plan!!

I think this is the problem we have in SoCal. We are all spread apart. I am out in the Inland Empire (San Bernardino County) I suggested a trip up to Arrowhead. To either Malibu or Orange County beaches it is over a 100 mile round trip just to get there. There are many others from Ventura to San Diego.

That said, our fellowforum members have made huge treks to get to various events (Woodward, Carlisle etc.) I would like to see some form of organization where we could all find some central point to converge and "show off" as a group. Maybe we could target one of the major auto shows (perhaps all).

Until we commit to something like our eastern counterparts, nothing will happen and I think that is a shame. Interestingly, I have had my SRT6 for over 1 1/2 years and other than at the California Motor Speedway during a NASA driving event, I have never seen another SRT6 out on the roads. There have been a handful of roadsters and coupes either base or limited, but not another SRT6.

Please don't think I was being condescending or anything...the thought of driving 100 miles roundtrip just to get to a drive is more than fine by me!!! I love driving this car and relish the thought of spending a day with it!!! 100 miles? No sweat. San Francisco anyone!?!?!?

Mike,

I was not pointing you out. If it felt that way, I apologize. You have been working hard to get us all over to Maguiar's.

Just pointing out that there have been several attempts at doing something that always seems to fail because everyone wants it in their own backyard.

How is that for a challenge SoCal (what the heck all of California, maybe AZ and southern NV) let's put something together to show those snobby east coasters what a real event is... LMAO.

Do what I do, I've been to 2 gtg away from my area where I live. I live in Maryland and have been to one in Florida and one in Michigan and just make a weekend out of it. In both cases I had a blast and would and will do it again. Its well worth the cost of a hotel and gas and you can get away for the weekend.

Same here in San Diego. Forum member Msheredy has a black SRT-6 here but I've never seen him. So the only other 6s spotted have been at the Speedway and two others at my dealer when I was buying mine. And I've had mine for over 1 1/2 year also - bought in Jan '06.

I'm game for a meet around the LA area and don't mind the drive there. Just can't do it these next two weekends though.

Anyone else planning to meet up at Hooter's for lunch and the Anaheim Auto Show afterwards at the Anaheim Convention Center?

Looks like I missed the auto show GTG but am still interested in doing something along the coast.
