Hey there, I live in Long Beach, though I'll be relocating to Redondo Beach in September. In general I'll be in the LA area no matter what. Any owners from around here who get together for drives or anything? Also, where are the best places in LA to get this car serviced? The Long Beach Chrysler dealer seems a bit shady to me, I don't really like them very much, I feel they're way too overpriced for the work they do. Would I do better taking my car to a Mercedes mechanic from now on?

(and for those who guessed it, the 944 in my e-mail is for the first car I ever had, an '86 Porsche 944. My second car was an '87 944S. Great cars! At this point, kinda old too, though one day I may buy a clean 944 S2 coupe or cabrio, or 944 Turbo)

I'm in Torrance.. just thought I would chime in so if anything comes up in my whereabouts I know.

To be 100% honest I don't like driving though so unless a meet is nearby, I probably won't show... depends on how I feel that morning

I found this thread for the first time tonight. It appears there are a lot more Crossfire owners in the L.A. area than I thought. Some of these post are several years old so it's really hard to judge but I'll bet there are still sufficient numbers to have a meet. I live in Pasadena if ya didn't notice.

I see several Crossfires in the South Bay area on a regular bases. I have even invited them to join the forum. Not sure if they did. But it would be fun to have a meet or drive. I see lots of car clubs on drives around the PV peninsula area on weekends. Of-course the Pasadena Lockridge area is popular to

Hi Doug, I used to live in Redondo Beach and PV is a nice place to drive. Up here of course, we have Angeles Crest Hwy. Someone on the forum said the CHP were on a rampage up there. I have driven the Crest countless times on my motorcycle at speeds in excess of 100 M.P.H. in some places and never had a problem. I think they come and go. So you have to ask yourself, do yuh feel lucky? I hope we get something goin' Nice meeting you!

Yes I believe that's doable if we can generate a little more interest. My girlfriend sometimes makes plans for us in a covert manner, but I think we're clear this weekend.

Unfortunately I am unable to this weekend. My wife has some kind of bug. no Super bowl party ether looks like. Be careful as cops are out in force looking for quick city revenue.

The best time would be Sunday morning for a breakfast or lunch and then get back in time for the Super bowl.

I think the Superbowl will upstage any meeting regardless of the time. It totally slipped my mind. Even women will blow off an XF meeting for the Superbowl.
