Rotex Gold Brakes

Thank you forum members for informing me about the Rotex brakes. I was reeeaaallly, reeeaaallly getting tired of cleaning my rims or going a couple of days with them looking black. I may not be Andrew, but the Crossfire has got to be clean. And that is tough with a black car and worse with the oem brakes.

Two days and the rims still look decently clean.

I am still looking for the perfect rims. Some black, some chrome, not so many small slots.

Did you put them on yourself?

Re: Rotex Gold Brakes

No I did not change them myself. Those days are history. I had Midas put on the front slotted non drilled rotors and rotex brakes. It took about 45 minutes and I was back at the office. They even cleaned the inside of all four rims.

I also had them put the rear tire on the front to see if I had enough clearance as I had put new Bridgefield tires on the rear. Unfortunately, if I want new rims (19, 20) I won't be able to use those tires. There was not enough clearance. :(

Did you buy the pads on line? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from buybrakes.com. I'm still waiting, they're on back order... :(

I purchased a set of four from buybrakes.com on Monday and they told me they would get the next shipment in from Canada on Friday (today).

Anyone know where or who sells Rotex Gold pads in Canada/Ontario?
I've phoned a couple of performance shops and no one in Windsor seems to have heard of Rotex?
The dust sure sucks, I guess if I can't find any near by, it's a trip across the river to Detroit.

It sounds like they come from Canada, i don't know where in Canada but Buybrakes.com is out of them and told me they will be getting a shipment from Rotex from Canada.

No - have not received mine yet. Buybrakes did charge my CC but no delivery yet.

I also purchased a set of four drilled & slotted rotors for my Crossfire from another company as I noticed how hot mine stock rotors were getting and decided to upgrade. Due to a miscommunication, the rotors are also late in arriving so I am not sweating to much on the pads.

I will let you know when my order arrives.

Sorry to here about your problems, with Buybrakes.com.

I got mine through brakeworld.com and had mine within days.

I'm not rubbing it in; just trying to let others who also may be considering to buy through this vendor know that another source is available.

I'm in the process of doing the same against Aiden Designs. Just waiting for a decision from Paypal. Can you believe Aiden sent me a message asking that I cancel my dispute, and that they would have a tracking number for me in 48 hours? It's been 96 hours and still have not received a tracking number. I told them NO, that it was their turn to trust me.

Make that three. Easy buy; good price; quick delivery (although poorly packed, IMO).

Mine are slotted and not drilled. I do not notice any fading and I drive rather abruptly to put it mildly. Probably why my gas mileage is so low.

Although, ... not as stupid as the black Firebird I saw driving over to Cape Coral this morning. This A-Hole was weaving in and out of heavy holiday traffic on I-75. I would have liked to have run him off the road but I was driving the minivan with the wife, daughter and dog and I figured that he was pissing off enough other people that have big trucks with gun hangers in the back window that one of them would accidentally on purpose nudge him into the woods.
