I think I'm going to get these...

The reviews look good, and longevity seems good, as well. Anyone try them yet?

Yokahama Advan S.4.

I've had Yokahama's in the past, on other cars, and I like them.
However, they tend to become noisier as the tire wears down.

That is the tire I was leaning toward for winter rubber on my SRT-6. Keep up posted. I have also had several Yoks on other cars with good results.

I got them and I'm happy. The only problem I've had has been getting stuck from a stop, in DEEP snow. Like 6-10". And driving a RWD car with low-profile tires in 6" of snow isn't all that bright, so I'm not going to go blaming the tires. Fine in the rain/wet.

I learned a long time ago it's all about ground clearance with snow - we have a Nissan Frontier for deep snow - Yok's ordered this afternoon. I should be running on them by early next week.

I'll be happy to give a report when I get them on.

I tried to buy Advan s4 today, 4 to 6 weeks delivery, direct from Japan. Best next deal was Pirelli rosso (PZero nero). I ordered them (installed tomorrow), them came home and did some research and discovered they where Summer tires, no good on any snow (we can get a dump any time of the year in Edmonton). So its going to be Pilot A/S, can't get them till the 8th. :( So its a mow the lawn weekend and Hunnydo. ARGH. Moral of the story is if you live in Canada start looking for the tires you want several months in advance!!! Pricing fronts $388, rears $470, plus-plus 6% GST, Labour $100, and 5% for "Other Stuff" Close to 2 grand $ Can.

Ordered mine this afternoon - should be delivered by Monday. Installed Tuesday, I hope! Keeping the old ones for emergency purposes...

Me too...even though the guy at the tire shop who mounted the most recent set on my wife's FX35 told her she wasn't going to be happy with them...even though we had the exact same tire on her last vehicle and loved them.

Got them installed this morning. Wouldn't you know it - a state trooper followed me on the highway all the way to work so I couldn't play. Initial reaction is very positive - still need some time to break them in, but they feel good and hold well with Less "tracking"... :D

How do you like the yoko's I have the factory michs and trying to decide. Stay with the devil you know (michs) or change. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: I think I'm going to get these...

I was going to run them a few more miles before a review, but here goes. Traction and stickiness in corners is excellent. They feel real solid on the road and I get a real secure feeling even at higher speeds. They are a bit noisier than the Conti's, but only noticeable when the top is down - and not "much" noisier. All in all my first impression is that they are really good tires.

Excellent rain traction - even though we haven't had a whole lot of that lately.
