Will 21 inch wheels fit a roadster?
 

Iam just curious would 21 inch rims fit a roadster? I can get a ridiculously cheap deal on some Giovanna 21 inch rims that would normally retail for around $6000 a set. But does anyone know if a 21 inch rim will fit if I used a very low profile tire?

On the front... I'd say no. I dont believe you can get a low enough profile tire.

I've seen 22's on a pontiac solstice!!! I know for a fact u can put 21's on the back...but I think u would need some modification in the front.:confused:

I've seen 30's on an H2 doesn't mean they will fit on an xfire... so your logic is seriously flawed...

The smallest 21" tire I can find is a 245/35/21 which is 27.75" tall. Wont fit. You would barely fit a 245/25/21 (if there was such an tire) which is 25.82" tall. Stock is 25.08

Depending on how far out you space the wheel/tire combo, it will clear everything.
Will the person/store you're buying/obtaining them from let you dry fit them - I know most places will not?

Hey.. plenty of people are putting 20's all the way around on 350z's all the time. I have even seen 22's on a solstice.

If the offset is very near stock (within a 5 mm each way), you should have no problems with the rim itself.

However, You WILL have serious problems fitting the front because of the distance from the tire to the upper ball joint mounting bolt and nut.

Stock leaves little clearance here, so a tire that's 0.4 inches bigger (radius) will probably be dangerously close if not hittng this bolt.

That being said, you CAN trim this bolt about a 1/4 inch.

If you get tires any larger, you'll be back to the same issue.

I call a shop before and they said they had 22 on the rear and 20 in the front. but the car looked like a hotwheel car. I plan on going 20's all around

I actually have 20's all around with a 245 width in the front and 285 in the back. All I needed was some spacers and I was good!!!!!

So trimming this bolt should give me the clearance i need? What size spacers should i use?

not gonna fit dude, what size rim is it, my 19x8.8 with 225/35 fits great, i tried putting my 20x10 with a 275/30/20 on the front just to see how big it could go on the front, no way!!! idk, but my 20 for the front was extremely too big, it hit that bolt and yeah if that bolt was gone i think it would of hit whatevers above it. idk maybe but id say no and it wouldn't look good anyway so it doesn't really matter, it would give the car a lift kit, are you doing off roading or want it to look like snoop doggs chevelle with like 30's on it. best combo is 19's front 20's back just get some spacers and get the offset right spend the extra money its worth it.

of course a 275 tire wont fit.. thats like "muddin' tires" haha:p .. put a low pro tire on, ill bet it fits.. you might have to take out that plastic wheel well dealio but u dont need that anyways.. but you definately wont get a 10 in wide wheel in there ur right about that!

275 is just the width. he said 275/30/20 which is infact nearly identical to the stock tire height for the rear. not a mudding tire. your thinking something like 275/55+ for trucks.

First of all, you haven't told us the actual size (diameter AND width along with the offset, not to mention the bolt pattern) of the rims.

Second, you haven't told us the actual tire sizes you are considering for the fronts and rears.

Until you do that, I can't even guess if you need to trim the bolt and what size spacers to tell you to get (if any).

If you truely want help... post the above information.

exactly, my opinion it will not fit, but let me know how it turns out, and i want to see the pics too if it happens. anything will fit if you want it to, but like i said why would you want that?
