Which Spacers??!?!
I need 20mm spacers for the rear wheels... i don't know much about them.. which ones fit?? which ones to purchase?
do these look right? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...2em118Q2el1247 or these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Qty-2...2em118Q2el1247 |
Re: Which Spacers??!?!
~ i would go with option number 2... a specific application... not universal.
ps. remember... you will need longer lugs. |

ps. remember... you will need longer lugs. The first one is universal? is that because it has so many holes for the lugs? |
Re: Which Spacers??!?!
I bought the ones on the second link from the same seller. Great seller and super fast shipping. However they didn't work for me. So I had to buy a set of 15mm spacers to fix the issue. The 20mm spacers would produce a clunk sort of noise when I made left turns. I was using them on a 16x7 slk wheel. If your interested in buying them I'll be happy to make you a deal. What part of the country in? How does $50 with shipping sound? Be sure to measure the lugs before so you don't go to far into the hub.

Re: Which Spacers??!?!
i personal would use h&r spacers... which are fitted specifically for the car. they also sell lugs.
the tire rack carries them. |

Re: Which Spacers??!?!
These are nice because they have the bolt to secure the spacer to the hub replacing the bolt holding the rear rotor. These wouldn't work for me because I change my back wheels very often and put the stocks back on. It would be just another procedure making me late to the track. If I was using these spacers to permanently install my rear wheels, I would consider this style. Any of these hub centric spacers do snap into the wheel very tight, and unless the hub centric ring is a perfect fit the wheel would have to be tapped on with a rubber hammer to properly sit on the hub. I pushed them on my 2nd set of wheels and they fit very tight and stay on the wheel not the hub. I think with the 20mm spacers you will need to get a little longer lugs. I think part of my problem was that I didn't get enough lug into the hub. The 15mm still gave me the clearance I needed and add 5mm of lug depth without hitting the parking brake mechanism inside the rear rotor. Good luck.Cruzinquick

Re: Which Spacers??!?!
hey andrew,
i love your car. very classy. i wanted to ask you, i just got the eibach prokit to lower my crossfire, i want to put spacers on and was wondering if 10mm in the front and 15mm in the back would fit without rubbing etc. Also, would i need longer lugs. If you get a chance can you please reply to the message? thanks! |
Re: Which Spacers??!?!
NEVER... EVER... EVER... use NON hub centric spacers on a performance car. You want the load on the hub, NOT the lugs.
Just letting you know if you don't already... :D Cheers! |
