Default Rotex gold Pads

I slapped em on Monday and haven't had to clean my wheels since. Should have done this as soon as we bought the car.

No squeaks here. If you didn't turn the rotors or use antisqueak grease or spray on the entire back of the new pads, you should have. Check out the threads.

Put mine on, bedded them in, drove for over 100 miles, and NO BRAKE DUST on the wheels!! By now, my fronts would have been almost black! They really do work great for the money!

Yea ceramic brake pads are certainly the way to go on these cars.

I didn't get the rotex gold pads, I instead got posi-quiet ceramic pads (I only had to pay shipping and handling!)

I put them in about a week ago and I have yet to even notice any sort of brake dust what-so-ever. Lovin' it!

Were the rotors turned ? Anti-Squeal compound used on the back of each new pad ? Did the brake pads get bedded in after install ?
All questions that need to be answered !

The rotors can still be turned and at that time regrease or spray the backs of the pads. I'm not completely convinced that you need to bed the brakes unless you want to go out and race right away. I think the brakes bed themselves after a couple of weeks of driving. Having said that I bedded mine anyway.

After warming up the brakes with a few gentle stops I did 2 firm stops from 35 mph, 2 from 50 mph, and 2 from 60 mph. You need to do this somewhere where you can drive without stopping until the brakes cool off again. You don't want the pads sitting on the hot rotors until they cool down. Some of the bedding programs have the brakes and rotors smoking and I don't see the need for that.

Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Don't expect zero dust from the new pads. I still get some but not at all as bad as the originals. I got the EZ Detail Brush to clean the wheels inside as suggested in the detail forum and it works great.
