Question. Do any of you disengage the ESP during normal driving conditions. When mine is engaged during above normal not extreme, shifting and accelleration I can smell what I believe is hot brake pads. When the ESP is disengaged that odor seems to be nonexistant. Although the XF has only 2K on it I dont believe what Iam smelling is the clutch.

there could be a problem with your emergency brake, maybe it's not disengaging.

the car doesnt make enough Hp to burn the pads in esp mode under acceleration.
