Pleasant surprise....my TPMS works. Wasn't positive after hanging new tires and wheels. Short version: The Friday before hurricane IKE made landfall, the ambient temp just north of San Antonio, TX was in mid to high 90s. Overnight temps dropped to the 50s and early morning I went to start car and TPMS light was on. I visually checked the tires and all looked ok, so I backed car out and shut down. I checked the tire pressures and all were down below 28 psi. I went to the gas station and filled all to about 40 psi. started up and TPMS light was out. I went home and readjusted TP to 35 psi and haven't had any more problems. I will pay closer attention to the ambient temps from now on. (Owners Manual pages 80-81 and 157-158. Tire pressure recommendations page 161)
