Unhappy Noisy Eagle F1 Tires

Well I've put 5,000 kilometres on my Eagle F1's and they now sound like lugged tires on a 4 X 4 Ram Pickup truck once I hit 60KPH and above...

Local dealer says that high performance tires have the very unpleasantness of becoming very noisy.

I took his Porsche out with Michelin Pilot 2's on it and they were even worse.

Anyone have any ideas...tired of cranking up new Metallica CD to drown out tire noise.

The GS-D3's, coolest looking tire until they get noisy @5,000K (3,000 miles)

I recently put Nitto Invos on my Crossfire and they are unbelievably quiet and smooth riding. However, they will not work in the snow. But I have found the Crossfire doesn't do well in the snow no matter what.

I was looking at these to put on mine, but saw a number of reviews where the noise was too much or they had cupping problems. When I begin looking in earnest come Jan/Feb, these won't be on the radar.

Are those (GS-D3s) all season tires or summer tires?

Summer tires. Great for rain, not so good on snow/ice.

I had a pair of these, 315's, on the rear of my mustang. They were great, and didn't seem too loud on it. Guess I need to experience it firsthand befor I think of getting any for the xfire.

I've got 8K on my F1's and find them no different than the Conti's I had on before. But then again, I'm one who cranks the stereo up to 40 on a regular basis !!!

I also have F1's and they are so loud I thought there was something wrong with my car. Especially at low speeds, like 10 to 20 is ridiculously loud

I have the F1 all-seasons and I also thought people were just being picky, but it's surprising the difference from my Michelin PS2s.
