Had a scare yesterday with tire
 

Walking back to my car at Costco the other day and noticed something shiny in my left rear tire. Looking closer it looked like a nail or screw sticking out of the tread.

Got out the tire gauge and the tire still had 31 pounds so it wasn't leaking. Parked it on the garage and used my truck next day and when I got home I jacked up the car, removed the tire and took it down to Mr. Tire.

Guy at the front desk looked at it and said "don't think we can do anything with this except replace the tire. We probably can't plug this." He then reached down and pulled out the offending object. Turns out to be something like a thumb tack; big round head, 3/8" thin shaft that didn't make it past the new tread.

Whew. Close one.
