Ultimate Brake Upgrade... SLK55 Black

First, let me just say that I absolutely love my customers and can't appreciate more getting to do all these awesome projects. This particular customer has close to 400RWHP and was interested in getting some better bite in the brakes. His goal was big, sexy, and AMG. He loved the new C63 brakes and wanted something exactly like that, well that's what he's getting.
The specs on the brakes are ridiculous. The front sports lightweight 6 pot calipers with 360mm 2 piece floating composite rotors. The rear has lightweight 4 pot calipers with 330mm rotors. This is a serious brake upgrade for a serious owner.
Cost of parts was just about 4K and for everything you get (sensors, pads, SS lines) this is a great value.
What is up with the pic upload??!!! Ugh, Here's a link: TVT Design, Crossfire Performance Parts - Gallery
Scroll to the bottom.
Enjoy!

Excellent, I missed out on a FREE SLK55 brake setup when my buddy totalled his car out...........I just didn't have enough time to do the swap before it was towed away.

More pics of the calipers prepped, rear rotor comparison, and rear rotor mock up have been posted.
The dust shields will need to be modified or removed for proper fitment.
The calipers, despite being 2x the size of stock, are extremely light weight, much lighter then stock.
After playing around with these I'm upgrading my car to the same set up. It is just too beautiful not to.

The only person I trust to do the tuning did the tuning, but it needs to be touched up.
The customer is not on the forum. I'd say 80% of the cars we work on don't frequent the forum. I've got a bunch of pics that I'll get up soon.
Antony - did the brakes fit with the factory rims?
BTW - they look sweet - nice work!!

I was under the impression that those brakes were too big to fit with stock rims, maybe with a 10mm spacer? Custom brackets? Who needs backing plates anyway. I can't take my car to you so dribble a little info please.

I'd love to have those brakes too.... but since I cant afford $4k for brakes, the C32 set will have to do.... and they work really well... and are quite a bit lighter than factory also...
My next improvement would be to go to two piece rotors to loose weight....but not until I wear out these rotors.....$$$$

Everyone knows I only let Jerry at LET/Eurocharged touch our cars.
The customer is getting spacers anyway for the car so we will see. I'm going to mock fit everything to see what will be needed. I don't see this as a direct no problems swap, but a very fun swap it will be.
And suprisingly the rotors are pretty heavy. Granted they are enormous, but I think Racing Brakes sells lighter weight versions, just at 1.5K a rotor!!!

Unfortunately we can't post pics here, so send me an email and we will send you some pics of the one and only real ultimate brake upgrade.

anthony, great job on the brake upgrade. can't wait to see it on the car and how mean they look popping out through the wheel spokes.
Nothing like reviving an old thread, but we finally had time to get the customer down here and start putting these on.
The overall weight reduction in the front is a tad over 6 lbs per corner with new calipers and rotors.
Overall install was pretty easy. Slight trimming of the dust shield and wheel spacers were all that was needed.
The pic with the wheel is sideways as a heads up.
