Default spare tire, donut?

I'm considering attending the Crossfires Across America and would really like to have a spare tire in the trunk. If I go to a Pick-n-pull or a salvage yard, which Mercedes model(s) would I be looking for for the correct fit?

This chart says the SLK 500 will work.

I took mine from a 2002 SLK 320. Totaled car but still new spare. I removed a front & rear wheel of my car & bolted the donut in place, blew it up & had no prob. with clearance at either location. If you want to hide it rather neat like send away for a trailer tire cover on e-bay & it is not that noticeable from outside your trunk. Just measure the donut size dia. (deflated) to get a good cover size match.

Are you planning on blowing your 18" wheel or 19" wheel?

With a donut wheel would it really matter? The bolt pattern is the same front and back.

I didn't think there was either. It's most likely supposed to be a SL500.

Opps! Nevermind.

Thought it was a weigh loss thread.

I carry a Mercedes E320 Run Flat Spare Tire T155/70R17. Never had to use it, but specs are similar (identical?) to SLK/CLK spares. Bolt pattern fits all wheels. Peace of mind for $75 on eBay.

Question Re: spare tire, donut?

Has anyone ever used a temp spare and will it fit over the larger front brakes on the srt6? Also will the speed sensors react to a different size tire such as temp spare. I would like to have the spare option! Danny ARE will a front srt wheel work on rear as a temp?
