Dub'n out the Crossfire

Ive been on the prowl for some larger aftermarket wheels for my srt-6, i really like the style of the original 15 spoke wheels. They are a clean and modern look. But finding a aftermarket rim that goes with the straight and narrow spoke style was kinda hard to come across. Reason i wanted to go aftermarket is because i just wanted a little bit larger rim, with a bit of a deeper lip, and so i would have a spare set (my old wheels) just incase i ever end up with a flat or such.

Ive always had a thing with DUB rims, ive always like the look of the slammed chargers or escalades with the 24"-26" but none of the rims that they carryed had that style that would tastefully match our cars. Even other manufactures didnt really have a rim that i personaly liked, however those Mandrus Millenium that are very popular on the fourm with members is a rim that i also like myself. (something that looked very similar to the factory ones, just bigger, and not overly flashy)

A few weeks ago i came across a ad in some fancy car magazine for a new series of rims from DUB called the DUB.1ONE wheels. And low and behold was a deep dish heavily spoked rim that i think would look awesome on our cars.

Their website is not fully up and running yet, but they have a bunch of pictures up on their Flickr account, and i thought i would post them up for others to share their opinion on them. I cant wait to see what fitments they have. I just want something with a bit of a deeper lip then what we have now on our srt-6's

My vote is for these 12 spokes as they still retain the look of the OEM SRT-6 wheels and yet add a bit of pizazz.

I agree. I think those are the same as the ones below that are second from the left. I really like them.

I like the twisted 7 and 12 spoke rimz.

Why couldn't they do a twisted 5 spoke arrangement? OZ Racing kind of does it with the Sardegna but each spoke is a triple split and the wheels are heavier than the OEMs on the Limited d-mn.

I may be a little biased, but I think the wheels I had on my last XF are exactly what you are after.

Now if only the damn galleries would work....

Ya, what's up with the galleries? Everytime I click on a picture it says I need to register, I'm over 13 (by a long shot), and click agree and get the same results. Just a run a round, reminds me of dealing with a governmental agency!!

It is not just you, it is everyone. This happened around a year or so ago as well and when we can get the forum owner Julian to work it out, we will be fine again, but he is hard to get a hold of.....

Shoot me your email address in a PM and I will send you some pics of the deep dish 20s....

Personally i like the 12 spoke rim, they call it the DUBMULTI.
Ive also learned a bit more about them. They say they are a 3 peice forged rim. And a nice feature about them is the assembly bolts are on the back side of the rim. Giving them a cleaner look. I never really liked the look of rims with the real/fake bolts around the outside. They give the look of a beadlock rim, which for me matches more with a offroad vehicle then a sports car.

The advantage of this being a 3 peice is that you can get a bunch of different offsets and rim widths just by changing out the front, back or spoked section of the rim. Hopefully when they let us know the different fitments, there could be something that fits nicely on the crossfire.:D And with a nice offset/stagered fit between the front and back.

i just thought these might be of interest to the crossfire crew. Seeing that there looks to be a limited amount of rim selection to fit our vehicles. I think these will look cool on our cars.
