Wheel spacers?

I'm looking at some new tires for my roadster. I would like to put 235/40/18 tires on stock rims on the front. Will they fit without using spacers? My car has not been lowered.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Wheel spacers?

Issue is not moving out but contact with the fender liner at full lock. A spacer/larger diameter tire would just make it worse.

235/40-18 in the front will fit just fine. You're only adding about 1/3" to the total diameter.

Thanks for the reply, but I am also a bit concerned about the tire width and the potential for the wider tire to rub against the upper control arm/ nut. Looks like there is only about 1/2 inch gap with 225/40/18 tires that are now on my car.
thanks.

Your tire calculator is very helpful. I had not seen that before. Feel better now about buying 235/40/18 tires for the front. Appreciate your help.

I run 235/40-18s on both my N/A and SRT with no problems! Both are @ stock height and rims.

I am running 245-35s but I had to use about 1/2 inch spacers but they look great and I have no contact issues.
