hOW MUCH SPACE IS BETWEEN THE TIRES AND THE FENDER

Re: Lowered ?????
From the top of the tire to the bottom of fender lip one inch.
If it is lowered does that mean spring was cut down ? |

Re: Lowered ?????
Thank you for the reply, would you say one inch clearance indicates it's been lowered ?

Re: Lowered ?????
Good, the camber is so far out the wheel is leaning. I thought spring might have been cut. We inspected and nothing's broke. Just trying to narrow it down and find the cheapest fix.

Re: Lowered ?????
You could go the cheapest route by starting with the adjustment bolts. If that doesn't get you close, then you've probobly got some tie rod problems. On a 100k car it'd be best to replace the drag link which is the entire tire rod assembly. Febi bolts are the same as OEM M/B bolts @ 1/2 price... 4 kits per car: Your Parts Search Returned 2 Part(s) Drag Link Outer Tie Rod Assembly: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrysler-Crossfire-Transverse-Center-Drag-Link-Outer-Tie-Rods-Assembly-5098996AA-/120695242266?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACrossfire&hash=item1c19ff3e1a&vxp=mtr |

Would also depend on the size of the tire, tire make and the car model. I have both the N/A and SRT6. Both have larger dia tires on OEM rims 235/40/18 fronts and 275/35/19 rears.
On the 05 Limited: 1.25" front 1.50" rear General G-Max On the SRT6: 1" front 1.50" rear Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position I take it that your SRT-6 is not lowered? I'm trying to figure out if mine has been lowered or not as well, and I am running the same size tires in the back, not sure if my fronts are 235/35 or 235/40...will have to check and measure. |
