Camber Kit...Help!
Re: Camber Kit...Help!
Well if the lower A arm bushings are shot you are diffidently going to have symptoms and will start eating up tires! the only way to be sure it is the bushings is change and see what happens. The K-Mac are the high end option giving you a lot of adjust-ability for the front end, mine did not seem to stiffen up the ride, just allowed for a good alignment. You can also just go with new stock bushings and not worry about them for ten years, if your camber is off there are some cheaper way to correct it but most are a single change not like the K-Mac's.
When you email K-Mac they will send the correct part, no matter which type you go with find a shop that has the right kit to change them out because they are a B**th to work on! if you use the K-Mac you will need a big press to put them in, the MD tool will not help, for the stock bushings it makes instillation easy.

My fiancee has a 2006 Crossfire Roadster Limited with about 76,000 miles on it. She says the car pulls both to the right and and left which she said was annoying. Something could have happened with all the pot holes in the roads around here. Anyway, we took it to Belle Tire and the said she needs new camber bolts but NO Chrysler or Mercedes Service shops (or any other shop) in the Detroit area has the tool to install the new ones.
We have been told we need 2 camber bolts part number 5140876AA which they say are about $40 each.
Can anyone tell us where to go to get the new camber bolts installed in the Detroit area? We live in Birmingham, Michigan

I find that these cars tend to follow any crack in the road. They seem to grab the steering and take you with them. I have replaced my steering stabilizer in the past to help with this, but it does not seem to help for very long before it is happening again.
Not sure if this is what your wife is experiencing though. Good luck on the fix.

buy these then take the car to firestone and get lifetime alignment $189.00 and when the car in up ,,, ask the mechanic if he could install the bolts ,,have them in your hand tell him they go in front to rear, he will see the little arrow that goes into the grove this is so the car will align properly 2 bolts each side.

My car came from the Detroit area (Plymouth). It had a bent rim, and some alignment issues (I assume due to the rough road conditions). When I got back home to California I replaced all the rims and tires, and added adjustable camber kits (front and rear) from Needs Wings. Our local Goodyear Dealer (the mechanic is actually a Harley Guy) did the work. The car drives great now, and all the alignment specs are within tolerance.
Daisy is home on the lost coast now, and doesn't have so many pot holes to contend with.

Re: Camber Kit...Help!
I did the adjustable camber arms that someone else did on this forum, parts from Speedway Supply, also the adjustable bolt kit for the front. Then had it aligned. The guy who did this was a specialist, when he showed me the readout, it wasn't just within tolerances but EVERYTHING was deadnuts on. Car doesn.t wander or do anything strange, just handles like a dream.
