Overall information for suspension and camber
Overall information for suspension and camber
Hello, I was crawling the Internet and the forum to get information on camber mods and suspensions options we have for our cars and the lowering possibilities. I thought I would gather all the info in one post so for the others who come later doesn't have to read every single thread.
I'm not a expert so if I'm wrong at any point don't hesitate to point it.
I'll dive this post 3 parts :
1 - Camber solutions
2 - shock and springs
3 - Coil Overs
1 : Camber solution
While searching I found out that the only thing you can play with on the R170 base is at the front for alignment and at the rear can't. The OEM bolts offer to little to adjust, the easy solution is to replace those 4 bolts with : Febi Bilstein 7752 bolts 7$ each. The more advanced and expensive solution would be to get the K-Mac front adjustable camber kit. :
Chrysler Crossfire (2004 - 2008) Front Camber & Caster kit #502016 J - K-Mac Suspension
Some people would say it's a reliable option and others says its crap ( source MB forum )
As for the rear camber stock they can't move a inch. So there are several upgrade options.
1 - K-Mac rear camber adjustable kit as costly as the front they offer a wide alignment solutions :
Chrysler Crossfire (2004 - 2008) Rear Camber & Toe kit #502026 H - K-Mac Suspension
2 - Ground Controll adjustable suspension components, the full kit is 1k$+ but offers unlimited configurations. :
NeedsWings Performance Products. Ground Control Adjustable Rear Components
3 - Meganracing rear adjustable camber 180$
