Mercedes Wheels Help
Mercedes Wheels Help
I’m about to do a wheel change on my black 06 roadster. Theseare the wheels in question. Model Mercedes C63, not OEM but made in Germany andlisted as OE.
They sell in the following sets:
4 – 18 8.5 or 9.5 / offset 35 or 45
4 – 19 8.5 or 9.5 / offset 35 or 45
They will not split 2-18’s and 2-19’s, but will do 8.5 / 9.5 staggered.
Questions:
Can I use front 19x8.5 and rear 19x9.5?
OR
Can I use front 18x8.5 and rear 18x9.5?
OR
Forget about it.
If so, what offset should I go with and will I need spacers?
Any thoughts on tire size? Do not want any rubbing issues.
I’ve called the dealer and they have done 18’s and 19’s on Crossfireswith no issues, so they say.
Tanks guys, this is my first xfire upgrade since purchase.

Re: Mercedes Wheels Help
I think yes and yes but better look is 19'' on the back.
You can also 19'' on front and 20'' on rear (I want put this setup on springtime on my car).
I find this in net:
Tires CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE
- 225/40 R18 # 255/35 R19
- 225/35 R19 # 295/25 R20 (I think 295 is too much. Better and cheaper 255/30 R20)
- 7,5 x 18 ET35 # 9 x 19 ET30
- 8,5 x 19 ET30 # 11 x 20 ET25
Internal diameter of the rim: 66,6 mm.
Screw: 12*1,5.
ET +/- 5 is no problem.
Re: Mercedes Wheels Help
Not sure what your preference is on wheels, but I'd recommend going to full set of 18" rims, rather than put a 19" rim on the front. My $0.02 Worth.
Having said that, I'd consider the 255/40x18 as the tire for the rear. Gives you essentially the same overall tire/wheel diameter as the 255/35x19 OEM setup. (See attached file)
I also attached the specs for the OEM wheels for you to consider in your purchase. Gives you OEM factory offsets, wheel widths, hub bores and bolt pattern. If you can match this with your new wheels, you'd be "good to go".
As for wanting to do something different, like a wider tire for the rears, several XFire Owners have used 285/35x19 on the rears with the factory wheels and do not have any tire rub. So all of the Plus 0 sizes for the rears listed in the attached file should work.
Good Luck with the New Look. The M-B AMG-63 wheels look really sharp!

just get a 15mm spacer for the 19" rears with the +35 offset and they will be fine. The +35 front 18" rime will be ok
