Default Question about brake lines

Quick question - are our brake lines the same front vs. rear? I ordered some StopTech stainless brake lines for the front of my car last year but haven't gotten around to installing them yet. I've been also thinking about going ahead and ordering a set stainless lines for the rear while i'm at it but StopTech doesn't list a part # for the rear. However, on NeedsWings.com they sell a F/R set of Goodridge brakelines for Crossfires and at least to the naked eye, the two sets of lines appear to be identical. Link for reference: NeedsWings Performance Products. Goodridge G-Stop Brake Line Kit

Not really looking to drop $$$ on that kit since I already have the front lines so I wanted to try and get another set of StopTech lines for the rear, but wanted to make sure I was ordering the right part before I place an order.

Per the stop tech web site the fronts for a SRT6 are part #950.35001 and no listing for rear. If you plug in 04 SLK32AMG the front # is the same and it shows 950.35500 for the rear.

Go to the NeedsWings.com site for the info, they sell the stainless and stainless coated lines for the Crossfires.
I'm sure if you email Rob, he will answer all of your related questions.

Awesome, thanks for the info! So basically I just need to order another set of the same lines. Easy enough.

C'mon now, you met me @ Carlisle last year - you can call me Josh! lol. I saw that he sells the Goodridge kit but I already have the StopTech lines for the front and just want to snag a kit for the rear before I put my car in the air to install everything. I thought about shooting Rob an email but figured i'd start here since I rarely am on here anymore and wanted to become a bit more active on the boards. But thanks!

I’ll repeat. Stop tech did not list a number for SRT rear but listed 950.35500 for 04 SLK32 rear. My guess is that will fit but more research might be in order before pulling the trigger.

I did some more digging on Goodridge's website and it looks like all the different versions of the SLK (230, 320, 32AMG, etc.) use the same lines front & rear. So I think i'm good to go! Just placed an order for my rear StopTech lines.

Here are some pics of the Goodridge SS brake lines on my 2007 Limited Coupe. I also installed a set of Speed Bleeder bleed screws when I did this upgrade. These are noted on the pics, along with wrench size required. I do seem to remember that the Speed Bleeder screws are different on the SRT-6 vs. the NA models - I think the fronts are different.
