Probably the easiest brake job you will ever do. James
Here are a few pics with some info for the front https://www.crossfireforum.org/galle...y.php?cat=2031

Re: Posi-Quiet Ceramic pad set?
To give you an idea of the ease of the brake job(and keep in mind I've done brakes before on a couple different cars)...
BillF and myself got the posi-quiets as well as new rotors. We picked last weekend to work on both of our cars..
Saturday started around 1pm ended around 6pm.. we were able to get 3 of the 4 wheels of BillF's car done in that time frame.. that included changing the rotors as well.
On Sunday we started at about 12:30pm.. finished not only his car but also all 4 wheels on mine(brakes and rotors) by 4:00pm. Now keep in mind.. we had to actually take the calipers and the rotors off.. so all and all not too shabby.
The front's are nice if you aren't taking the rotors off.. you can simply slip out the middle part of the caliper that holds the pads and slip in new pads.. and off you go.
Also we went the route of opening the bleeder screw right there at the calipers when compressing down the piston, to make sure we wouldn't be putting any pressure back on the pump. Also I usually recommend bleeding the brakes just a little bit to make sure you get any air that slips in there during the process..you will enjoy the pedal feel much more afterwards.

I went ahead and sprayed the anti squeal coating on the back of all four of mine prior to install. Haven't heard a single peep out of 'em since they went in. Was it really necessary? Maybe not, but it sure didn't hurt and it only cost a few bucks for the can, so.............

I like the no dust side of it though, I did 1,500 miles and there was no discernible dust, some there but it was not really visible. Just a light dust was visible if you wiped your finger on the wheel.
Re: Posi-Quiet Ceramic pad set?
That pedal feel is interesting, onehundred80. I did not experience of it with the Posi-Quiets on my Crossfire, but when I put the same pads on my daily driver it was downright scary. I did a full bleed on the brakes twice trying to correct it, to no avail. The damn car wouldn't stop, either. I had them on for a matter of days before pulling 'em off and putting a fresh set of Hawk HPS pads on that car (which are what were in need of replacement when I put the Posi-Quiets on that car).
I'm not enough a brake guru to understand why these pads are so good on one car (the Crossfire) but worthless on another (PT Cruiser Turbo) but I wonder if some bits and pieces don't play as well together as others do, possibly accounting for your situation with the Akebonos. Obviously not as bad a situation as I had with PQs on the PT, but still. The PQs on the Crossfire feel perfectly normal and stop the car beautifully (outbraking that Porsche 911 on track at California Speedway from 125mph).
