Default Brake Pads, & Rotor Recommendations

Hey guys,

I am getting a lot of vibration in my car when braking hard, so I figure it is time to get new rotors. I have also been told that no matter how new'ish my pads are that I should go with new ones when putting on new rotors.

Anyone know anything about this company and their brake kits?

Or, do you have a kit that you have used recently that you really like? I noticed that the pads I put on last time do not seem to brake as well. I think it is because I had bought "dustless" pads, which I am assuming are made with a different material. I am ok going back to dusty wheels if I can get some solid braking back again.

Thanks,
Chris

Bekkers.com and buybrakes are two sites to look at. STOPTECH has several choices.

Look up "Needswings". Rob there will help you out with the proper brakes and rotors for the Crossfire and your driving style. I got mine from him and couldn't be happier!

Well if your rotors are warped from overheating, then I would say to replace the pads as well. The pads may have been overheated as well and compromised of their best stopping ability.

I put these on my Coupe 8 or 9 years ago. They stop fine for me, and no dust. I am getting another set to put on my roadster now.

I am not a fan of slotted rotors.
ceramic pads and drilled rotors, definitely drilled rotors.
the slotted rotors glaze the pads, while helps with braking due to glazing the pads, it significantly reduces life of the pads.
I have used drilled and slotted rotors on trucks to help increase braking, but pads don't last as long.

the drilled rotors and ceramic pads I have on my crossfire I put on around 60k miles and rolled over on 170 k last thursday with the same pads and rotors and lots of life left.
got off ebay
