18X8.5 Benz Wheel on front
18X8.5 Benz Wheel on front
Can anyone tell me if they have experience with putting an 18X8.5-38ET wheel with OE size 225/40/18 tires on the front of a Crossfire? Specifically, does the wheel/tire fit without contacting the top upper ball-joint and bolt?
I am looking for experience with an OE Benz wheel (what I plan on using) or after market in the above size and 35-38 offset, and whether you had to use spacers to fit correctly. I do not want to use spacers.
I have put my hand back there at the closest possible point of interference (upper ball-joint and bolt) with the stock setup and to me it may fit but it may not also.
Enclosed is an image from https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Whee...et-Calculator# and it says I would have 16mm less inner clearance.
Thanks.

Re: 18X8.5 Benz Wheel on front
I know that, actually I provided an image showing what you said, it's actually 16mm less clearance, and on a Crossfire there are no struts, which is good. Hard to check since I don't have the wheels yet, that's why I was asking.
I asked for verified information from someone who has a Crossfire and has the size wheel/tire I asked about.
Thanks, I guess
