Pads without sensors

Pads without sensors
Caliper, disk and pads just need to get brake line connected.
so still putting the CLK 500 sport calipers and 345mm rotors, rebuilt the calipers and went with the ceramic Posi-Quite pads. The pads do not have wear sensor so what do I do with the cable? Also will I get a warning light if I do not have sensor pads? I plan on just hooking the cable to the caliper with no pad plugged to it.
Every thing is on except the brake line is to short, I have ordered a banjo fitting to use on the caliper then plug the line into that, will see how that works.

Well the bigger brakes is another thread, this was really just asking about what happens when you use pads without the sensor; granted it was a bit long winded question. I just want to know if using aftermarket pads without sensors will I get a brake warning light.
As for the CLK500 sport brakes, I have the banjo fitting ordered and plan on supplying all the info on a “how to do it” thread when I have this upgrade finished. More to follow, and will some light come on if the sensor is not connected to a pad?

Just zip tie them out of the way. No lights or codes are set. The convenience of having a light come on when the pads are worn out is gone. That's all. I have a Stoptech BBK and the pads have no provisions for the pad wear sensors. Mine have been zip tied out of the way for ....... 7 years more or less.

I would NOT tie off any brake pad sensor(s) UNLESS I noted this in a owners manual, log book, or on the inside cap of the lug nuts (or anywhere someone else would know later on). I know ppl who sell their cars (for the most part) care less about most if not all the things they changed, bypassed, or removed, when a price is agreed upon. We see this all the time here in the forum when someone buys a used (prior owned) XF.
