Front Spring Failure
I am in the UK, X-Fire has just failed the MOT for a broken front spring. I thought this would be an easy item to replace.
The car is 3.2 SOHC and therefore referred to as (EGX), this gives the required part number as 05135480AA.
I have contacted the typical UK part suppliers (Euro Car Parts, GSF, Car Parts 4 Less) all of them have accepted the part as being a valid part number, but say it is now obsolete with no valid replacement part number.
With this in mind I have just visited the local Mercedes stealership. The parts guy was very helpful and has done his best but is/was unable to get me a valid part number for a new part. He looked at the SLK320 database but was unable to cross reference any details
Does anybody have any current info on this situation, has anybody had the same problem?
Help appreciated

part # for left and right 210-321-12-04 you should be able to buy in the UK
Well I didn't think that getting 2 new front springs for my Xfire in the United Kingdom (UK/England) would be this difficult/time consuming.
I have been informed by my local indy garage that they have sourced the items and they have been delivered. Xfire has gone in today to have BOTH front springs changed. I have had both done as I understand that having just the one side changed may cause problems, more importantly I don't want all this grief if the other one fails in the future.
For all fellow Xfire owners in the UK I will post the part numbers and supplier details once I have all the info from the garage when I go and collect the car tomorrow.
