Default Production Numbers ??

Hello to all. I bought my '05 SRT6 Roadster w/ 7k miles this past May '08. It was a Chrysler officals car and replaces my '68 Chrysler 300 ragtop. I have only had to replace the battery. I drive it to the weekly cruiz-in and have accumulated almost 1k miles thus far. Love it. It remindes me of the '34 3 window Ford that I chopped and channeled while in the Navy in the early '50's. My question .. which has probably been asked before.. how many '05 SRT6 Roadsters were built. This is a reaccuring question that I get where ever I go.

I think around 1,000 SRT6 roadsters were made. I'm pretty sure someone will chime in and give you the exact number.

Wow, you have that answer at very exact numbers. I've been lieing than for quite sometime, I've always said 2,009 coupes.

Great Info though, I knew it was in that range, I just never knew the precise numbers.

Those were the latest figures from DCX. I believe Karmann also provided the numbers.

Is there any chance that you have the equivalent numbers for the Limited?

No I don't. You might find it in a search here. Someone got some pretty detailed numbers from Karrman but I can't find that thread.

A local Chrysler dealer told me that in 2005 they made 'right around 12,500 Crossfire's" but could not tell me how many of them were Base, Limited, Limited Roadster. I would love to know for sure how many 2005 Red, Roadster, Limited, 6 Speeds (my car) were made... and what number mine is. Anyone know for sure ? My VIN is 1C3AN65L45X051158. One of the gurus here sent me a print out (THANK YOU) but I did not really understand what it all meant

First off...WELCOME to the forum!!!
And yes your question and many others are asked here all of the time. The great thing is there are a lot of folks here that are Crossfire smart and are ready and willing to give you an answer. If they don't know the answer they might just make something up to make you feel better!!!

I'm sure that you will have other questions. When you do, try to find it with the SEARCH function at the top of the page. Lots of information just waiting for you there.

"See" ya on the forum!

Your production number is the last five numbers of your VIN, "51185".

There were over 70,000 made, there were just 28,000 made in 2005. You have to add the 2003 and 2004 nubers to the 2005 number to get the build number. Also many of the 2004s were built in 2003, 2005s were biult in 2004 etc.

ok. so if the vin ends 049208 that means it was made in 2004 and is part of the 2004 wikipedia production number of 28,000? or the 05 production number of 12,500?
