Default Windscreens

Just bought my first Crossfire!! 2005 Limited Red. Been researching windscreens on this forum and web. Seems that the fabric screens are the best, but cannt find a company in the U.S. that offers them.

BackBlade looks like the highest rated plastic ones. Anyone have one that could share their opinion? Also, choice of acrylic or Lexan? Etching at no cost either smoke or clear. They look pretty cool and have some test videos on YouTube.

I think it is a matter of personal preference.

Yep. I got the WindBlox 3 years back and have been completely satisfied.

I have a windblox and it works great. A few adjustments needed for vibration issues but it was an easy fix. with the top up the shaded windblox can be a little hard to see out of at night. I got used to it.

One factor to consider on any of the plastic/lexan screens is night driving. They all tend to reflect the instrument panel in the rear view mirror.
This can be annoying.
The mesh screen is a much better choice if you do a lot of night driving.

In mine, at night over 60 with the top up, the wing up and the reflection, fugetaboutit, you have almost NO view through the interior mirror.
I have learned to use the outside mirrors.

Went with the mesh screen from Chrom Design in Germany. Pretty easy transaction and they got back to me within 24 hours of my request. You need a PayPal account and translate his German, but looks like a quality product for about $195 American. From the searches on this site mesh seems to be the way to go and at less than $200 a fair price.
