Default Crossfire Brake Calipers

I finally got around to painting my brake calipers and I decided to "dress then up" a bit as well.

Great job. I just did mine last weekend. What did you use for the lettering?

It's a decal. Very nice item and many choices for color. Good prices too. They do not list Crossfire but they will make them for you at no extra charge. Here's a link. http://www.xenonmods.com/decalindex.htm

Thanks. I contacted them. I hope they can take the heat. Not sure how hot they get but your look great.

Thanks again,

I've got caliper decals on another car of mine that I purchased from the same website. 4 years on, including some track time, and they still look like I put 'em on yesterday. Good stuff.

looks good but if you would have put the same design as the one on the revised emblems that would have gotten you some serious props!

So the heat from the calipers doesn't make them shrink or peel?

Looks nice Roy!

What paint did you use? Aerosol or brush? Did you remove the calipers, or leave them attached?

I bought a caliper paint kit at Autozone. It comes with a can of brake cleaner, a small can of paint and a really cheap brush. I went to walmart and got a couple of small foam brushes and some painters masking tape. I removed the brake pads, Put the calipers back in place and cleaned with a wire brush then masked off everything and painted. it comes out very smooth with the foam brush and you don't have to worry about overspray. They give you plenty of paint, You could do at least 5 cars with 1 can.

Here is one, It's not the best in the world to show the wheels though.
