Default Hamburger inside my tire

I have had my 04' Crossfire coupe for about 3 weeks with about 9k miles. I noticed a vibration in my front end and it gradually became worse. I read several post on here concerning what may be the cause of the vibration. So, I took it to a tire guy and asked if he would check the balance on the front tires. He asked my if I had put fix a flat in one of the tires because it would not balance. NO! I just bought the car. So he took the tire off the wheel.
Evidently, the previous owner had driven the car when the tire was flat. That shredded part of the inside of the tire. So, he put fix a flat in it so it would hold. The fix a flat stuck all that shredded rubber together into a large lump that looks like a huge hamburger.
I have a new tire on order and so far the tire is holding air. Good grief I feel like I am driving a different car. It is so smooth!

That sucks that you need a tire. At least now it will be fixed and you can enjoy the car.

You can have the dealer pay for a new tire if it is less than 1000k miles or 30 days.

Yep, Fix-a-Flat is good for a quick fix but will ruin the tire.

Just had a new F1 A/S put on today. Of course.....it had to be one of the rears that got the puncture!

The guy asked if I just wanted it plugged or patched......suddenly I had visions of going down the expressway, having a fun little time....then BOOM!

"No thanks......I'll just take a brand new one!"
