This is absolutely correct. There are all these posts online about removing your bumper to remove the lower grills. Its nonsense. I have a 2006 Limited Roadster. It took me about 2 minutes to fish around with a screwdriver find the tab and remove the grill. I had to reattach the sensor (that senses outdoor temperature and has some effect on engine performance, I believe) that fits in the driver side lower front grill.
