Re: New Orleans Crossfire
I’ve got the trunk dried out. I’m still trying to diagnose the trunk lock and the CLP issue. The common suggestion is that the CLP is bad and needs to be replaced. However, I did not see any evidence that the CLP got wet. Furthermore, locking and unlocking works from the console, and I can hear the trunk locking when the button is pressed. (And the doors lock fine). Testing this is difficult because the key fob is broken. I have to use the console button.
The weird thing I found is that the trunk works 100% testing with it in the upright/open position by engaging the latch like it’s closed; then using the handle. But when it’s really closed the handle gives a Iittle resistance then doesn’t engage. It’s like there’s something that will allow it to work if the latch is in a certain orientation. Maybe there’s a broken piece in the latch itself.
I’m gonna take the whole thing apart tomorrow and see if something is stuck and while I’m in there, I’ll remove the second roadster lock.
I’d love to hear your thoughts I hope my posts aren’t becoming tiresome to you guys!
