Default Re: VIN question

The core point is that a VIN only encodes basic vehicle identifiers (like model, year, engine, plant, and restraint/engine codes) — it doesn’t contain a full list of every factory option in a readable way. That’s why simply running your Porsche VIN Report through generic decoders won’t show all the installed features. The complete option list lives in the car’s build data, which is best accessed by checking the factory option sticker/build sheet inside the vehicle or by requesting the original build sheet/window sticker from a dealer using the VIN, as that gives you the full equipment list directly from the manufacturer.
