I found the Audi drink holder on eBay. You have to be careful to make sure all the parts are there. I made the bracket out of flat 1" aluminum. It is attached underneath by a screw that I feed through the black center piece. Then I carefully drilled the holes for the two screws that hold it to the bulkhead. You have to be careful, as the gas tank is behind that bulkhead. It works well and holds a water bottle with ease.

As you noted, your right elbow is clear of any obstruction.
