I try to do everything myself and have learned quite a lot from the forum and the repair manual. I do however, not trust myself with engine/trans mount. Recently wanted to get those replaced and called 5 European Repair shops near me with the best reviews. It was the first time, I ran into what I read on this forum 3 out 5 refused to work on the SRT.

2 of them said they don't work on them and why would I put a Mercedes engine into a Chrysler? (That was pretty hilarious - I imagined, being a true European tradesman they would know of the Daimler Chrysler era and not think, it's Frankenstein's monster, where I dropped a Merc engine into). The third one was just outright ridiculous. I asked if he knew the car and he said he did. I said, it's the same as an SLK32 AMG and he told me, he also doesn't work on SLKs and can't think of the last time an SLK came through because parts are nearly impossible to find for MERCEDES SLKs....I actually was quite confused if not shocked at that last comment.
