There is a way to disable the lamp so you do not have to crud up your display on the dash. It involves removing one wire from the connector behind the garage door module assembly top center of windshield. IF your good with a torx socket wrench/screwdriver mentioned in the .pdf in the documents collection. One addition, ppl sometimes using the self/help .pdf in the documents section of the forum to bypass the connector, that turns off the lamp. Make sure it is the CORRECT connector and pin (there is two connectors up there), then PLACE A NOTE (for the next owner) inside the light switch FUSE cover as located in the interior. Good luck!
