Continental commissioned Peter Max to paint a B -777, designated as the NYC Millennium plane as a commemoration to New York city’s 1999 New Year’s celebration. The special "Peter Max" livery remained on the plane from 1999 until it was repainted into the standard Continental livery in early 2008.
