Taking in the Crossfire GTG in Helen, GA is a short drive (IMO) - probably 2.5 hours from Boiling Springs. You really ought to consider it - might be a little better than the Fontana GTGs due to other amenities available throughout Helen. Host hotel is probably full, but other lodging is typically available.
